Find it in Mynewsdesk: Settings > Tag Management

Imagine visiting a newsroom and not finding what you are looking for. You will probably lose patience quickly and leave the website. You don’t want this to happen to your visitors, right? Make it easier for them to navigate by structuring your material with tags.

In Tag Management you will find a list of all the tags that you have used in your published material. By adding the same tag to material, they end up in the same folder. We recommend using fewer tags and using them consistently.

Now what does it mean to edit, delete, combine or pin tags? Continue reading below.

A. Combine – Merge tags by selecting at least two tags and clicking “Combine”. Create a name for the new combined tag.
B. Delete – Select the tags you want to remove, and press “Delete”
C. Edit –  Edit the name of a tag. You can also remove material from a tag here.
D. Pin – Create a pinned folder that will show on top of your news.

How to create a pinned folder

  1. As soon as you have published material with a tag, you will find this tag in Tag management.
  2. Find the tag in the list and press the small pin icon. You will see a folder appear at the top.
  3. Click “Choose image” in the new folder to assign an image for the pinned folder
  4. Done! Go into your newsroom and check that the folder has appeared.

Note: If a pinned tag includes a press release, an image and a document, the folder will appear under News, Images, Videos and Documents in your newsroom.
