By enabling it you will be asked when logging in to verify your identity using a security code. You will then be asked to enter your password for your Mynewsdesk account. After that, you will be directed to the page where you set up 2FA <\/span><b>\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in three steps:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To get started you need to install a <\/span>two-factor authentication<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> app on your smartphone. You may choose one of those that we suggest, or a different 2FA app of your choice. To download your chosen app visit App Store (for iOS) or Google Play (for Android). Enter that in the <\/span><b><i>Security Code<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> field. These are only for emergency use. If for some reason you lose access to the 2FAapp on your phone, you can use any of the codes to log in.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Note:<\/em> The recovery codes will only be shown once. Here you will also see how many recovery codes you have left, and there is a function to renew the recovery codes.\u00a0<\/span>nn<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can also disable two-factor authentication, but this is not an action we encourage.<\/span>n<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Log in with two-factor authentication<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With two-factor authentication enabled, you will be asked to enter a security code from the app in addition to your Mynewsdesk password every time you log in. <\/span>nn<em>Note:<\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The security code is only valid for a short time before the app automatically replaces the current code by a new one.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Enforce Two-factor authentication for all users<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4173\" src=\"https:\/\/help.mynewsdesk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/image-20.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"931\" height=\"582\" srcset=\"https:\/\/help.mynewsdesk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/image-20.png 931w, https:\/\/help.mynewsdesk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/image-20-300x188.png 300w, https:\/\/help.mynewsdesk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/image-20-768x480.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 931px) 100vw, 931px\" \/><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you are an Account Owner you can enforce all users to set up 2FA <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for higher security. This is done under <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Setting &gt; Security<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Once you activate, all other users will get a pop up with information on enabling 2FA the next time they log in.
